Demigods and Selling Out. Underground Poetry.
73all screwed up isn't it?
Ant Hill Heroes
I Agree:
Yes my friend; the majority wish
for their mythical heroes
to hold qualities of goodness
surpassing their own-
a weakness- an illusion... an invention of the impossible.
with time, even the most flawed
of demigods
is entitled to human pardon for
bad behavior-
after all,
“he is half human” ...
It must learn from
its mistakes, because it is godly...
the means to ends doesn't
make a difference...
merely;
a bit of morality.
... and they follow like sheep
humor indeed, a vehicle to advance a voice, to buying what we sell- ...Sam Clemens~ Lenny Bruce, George Carlin' fortunate are we to have these outsiders looking in-
makes more sense as time withdraws from our lives.
... a kind of Machiavellian
forgiveness for ourselves.
shortcomings will be
overlooked- so long as the legend sits comfortably
within the boundaries of
some kind of
popular doctrine,
and touches on the secret yearnings
of the sheep. ...
when Ego holds the reins rape becomes permissible-
murder a means to advancement-
lies and deception; tools of manipulation the norm.
honesty is viewed a threat
by worried pinnacles in tilted positions- of all societies-
throughout time.
they intend to keep their lofty, do nothing;
take without reservation,
power to control...
self appointed demigods.
Carnegie left his fortune to
the public, the twist
Caesar the same.
as long as examples
of perceived good in even the most ruthless;
the lie persists. the deception overlooked.
the leach has no choice,
but to drain life crimson,
cannot change its behavior nor the predator his appetite for flesh.
truth misconstrued immoral-
how fragile are the worlds dwelt by the masses-
told and sold on the belief
that the affluent are models
preservation to the species.
advancement in progress
becomes dependent;
on the ideals of wealth,
belief in opinions
set forth by manipulators.
an honest man can be corrupted. a paradox... ease of conscience,
and personal gain,
fundamental, in once again the downfall
of our species... of our dark civilization.
Bipolar humankind. candles lit brightly, on both ends.
Though 'the individual' can survive,
living outside- on the peripheries- on the edge...
unfortunately-
poverty and hunger drive the majority to hand over their Natural, rights to be free.
Selling out. one in a thousand
sees the truth the message complete.
as long as we amuse-
we make them laugh- think...
we are safe you and i.

Aye, Amigo, this is a quiet interesting piece of literature, written on a place called "Hub" pages but it is not a hub it does seem to me the center of an array on the "human condition" of never satisfied with what it is they have. "What we "have" is worthless, until we give it away". It gains all of it's value, when given away. Be it a right or a small three blade stock-mans pocket knife, with the main blade 2 and 1/4 inch long. Depending on how you live, a right given away, could materialize as the key to your continued existence, just as that little knife. The right to own a 22 rifle, the right to shoot a rabbit or squirrel, may well take the right for you to eat, the knife? The way to get to the meat and cut a stick to cook it on, or maybe carve a totem pole design on a walking stick, that s person sees and wants enough to pay you the price of the value meal at a burger joint for you and any dependents.
I don't know why I connected this thought process to what I read, past my thoughts on "demigods" being a thing to avoid and your striking words
"unfortunately-
poverty and hunger drive
the majority to hand over
their Natural,
rights to be free.
Selling out.
one in a thousand
sees the truth
the message complete."
As well, all of these words, worth nothing alone, but your assembly of them, worth a bit, but when you gave them away the "one in a million" people who recognize the entire value can use them to carry their own mental well being or moral to a higher pace to survive the day and the gift of waking up tomorrow?, if we do, then we plan the moment, possibly winning the day by or with the thought that seems to me, a demigod might serve as an invisible friend that we talk to, circling the knowledge we have that never sunk in or became valuable to us until we give them in use.
Does that make sense to you or am I reading in a different angle to your intended point. I hear, in my mind, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWwUJH70ubM
Peace Mi Amigo,
